This is a machine that was introduced by Onitama-san when Nintendo historian 山崎功 (Isao Yamazaki) appeared on an OBS Live broadcast on 2020-06-27. The relevant section begins around 1:15:40.
There is a handwritten piece of paper with the folio.

The photographs have "73D" written on them. I am unsure, but I'm assuming that means the photo was developed in 1973.
Nintendo had released a lion target toy back in 1970. I saw it first in the History of Nintendo book, and the date on the toy box was graciously confirmed for me by the BeforeMario account.
Thank you Onitama-san for sharing documentation of what is probably the rarest Nintendo arcade machine. I suspect this was a single-unit prototype. You can view the history of beam rifle arcades games here.
